Build strength through mindful movement.

A yoga-based strength and recovery program for midlife women—where resistance training, mobility, and nervous system support come together in flow.

I’m all about building strength in both body & mind in a way that is do-able, is just challenging enough, builds in rest & recovery, and is FUN for midlife women who want to be at their best.

“I did your first class and, to no surprise, it was amazing! I could follow along easily as your explanations are always thorough and on point. You know how to break down movement, always engaging the right muscles focusing on strength and minimizing strain. I look to repeating this class and doing all the rest!”

Your yoga practice isn’t enough—but the gym doesn’t feel quite right either.

Hi there! I’m Robin.

Robin Penney, a Movement Coach specializing in strength and mobility for midlife women

Since 2012, I’ve coached women to reduce stress and feel great in both body and mind—using strength-based yoga, functional movement, and recovery practices that actually stick.

My goal is to shake things up in the yoga world. What makes my approach to movement unique is that it centers around one crucial thing: STRENGTH—not just the kind that builds muscle, but the kind that builds resilience, regulation, and rhythm.

By teaching women how to build and leverage functional strength—and how to recover intentionally—I’ve helped hundreds of midlife women:

Improve mobility & flexibility

Reduce their risk of injury

Boost confidence & independence

Actually enjoy their bodies again

Listen.

I still love a good stretchy yoga flow. Breathwork, stretching & de-stressing tools are a part of everything I teach.

But if you want to feel better for the long haul, strength and recovery both need to be in your weekly rhythm.

Let’s build that together.

What others say

“As a 43yo breast cancer survivor, I had 2 years of physical and mental trauma to overcome. Working with Robin has significantly improved my range of motion, increased my strength in load bearing exercises, and settled fears of feeling unaccomplished or inner doubt that I would never be the same. This form of self care is priceless and absolutely worth the commitment.”
Malaka Thompson
“Thank you very much for the past full year of yoga. You are a wonderful instructor, clear and patient. Developing a practice (with practice being the operative word) has done me a world of good. It keeps the back pain at bay. I’ve also lost weight over the past year and since yoga is the only change I made, I credit it.”
Margaret Niven
“I’m so excited. I felt so great after our class. Only mildly sore. And joints loosened up nicely by end of class. I have been practicing different breathing techniques so it was wonderful to experience your instruction in class. So many classes move too fast, your class was perfect. I can’t tell you how stoked I felt when I finished.
Patty Burgdorf
“Your classes have made such a positive impact on my life and I’m forever grateful.”
Jim Rivas
“I took classes with different instructors before you, you were the first yoga instructor who really made me feel like I had a practice. I loved getting to know your style and flow, and expect when you’re about to say “hands to the heart, anjali mudra”. Really the best 50 minute practice I ever experienced.
Nina Hoffer
“I have regained confidence in movement, confidence in self and with that, the ability to not just regain my former abilities but to move and live comfortably, safely, and beyond past limitations!”
Denise Allen
“Don’t ignore things until you bulge a disc like I did. Every time I moved with pain I felt like I was a step closer to surgery. Chiropractic made it worse. Needed a cortisone shot in the nerve just to exist. Then I did one-on-one coaching with Robin and learned where I was over/under-developed and how to fix it. Today I pulled weeds for three hours!”
Leslie Krzeczowski
“I want to say – in my life right now – you are…far and away…my favorite yoga instructor. And in 18 years of taking classes – only my original long time Iyengar instructor – do I have as much appreciation for as you. You have always been influential for me – always trying new things, always positive – for the soul and spirit as well as for the body.
